Award winning and legendary singer, Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, at the Flytime festival on Saturday, 24th December, 2022, at the Eko convention center in Lagos State, seized the opportunity to clear the air on his “no more Lagos show” state.
Highlight of the night was when he cleared the air about a post he made some weeks ago about not performing anymore in Lagos State, Nigeria.
He said it was a case of misunderstanding as he took the blame for not completing his sentence explaining that it is not nice to perform in different parts of the world and still come home to ask fans to pay for his shows.
In his word;
“Let me tell you something, When I said this is going to be my last show in Lagos right…What I really meant was, with the kind of love that you guys show me, it is very unfair to do shows around the world and come back and still make you guys pay to watch me perform. So, I want to make a promise tonight, this would be the last time you are ever gonna pay to come to Wizkid’s show“.
However, this has stirred reactions from social media users:
Wizkid’s announcement has bought him more love and support from his fans.
