Nigerian music star Wizkid, wins “Afrobeats Artist of the Year” at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, California, held on Sunday, 27th March, 2023, alongside his colleague Tems, who featured in his song titled ‘Essence’.
This win makes it his third career win at the ceremony as his song ‘Essence’ was the biggest African song on U.S. radio in 2022.
He was also the most played African artist on urban and R&B radio in the U.S.
Other nominees for the award are Burna Boy, CKay and Fireboy DML.
