Nigerian superstar, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has lamented the spate of killings in Nigeria.
Taking to his Instagram story, the famous singer stated that he is sick and tired of the non-stop killings.
The singer stated that he is saddened that no meaningful action is in place to tame these killers.
He wrote:
His post is coming a day after at least 11 people were allegedly killed by terrorists in Igama community of Edumoga Ehaje district in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.
Locals reportedly said the killers besieged the community at about 4am on Sunday, 12th June, 2022, and opened fire on the villagers, and set almost all buildings in the vicinity on fire.
According to the villagers, at least 11 dead bodies had been recovered while efforts were being made to find missing persons.
A week before the Okpokwu incident, on Sunday, 5th June 2022, worshippers were killed at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State. Mass was reportedly about to come to and end when gunmen opened fire on worshippers in the church, killing scores.Â
The perpetrators of the dastardly acts are still being investigated by Forces in charge.
