Award winning Nollywood actress and singer, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, has added another feather to her hat as she has been awarded with an Honorary Degree from her alma mater, the University of Wolverhampton for her contribution and achievements to the creative industries.

The actress, who graduated in 2009 with a Degree in Drama & Performance, was awarded a Doctor of Arts in recognition of her phenomenal contribution to arts and culture on Monday, 5 September,2022.

Adesua announced the news on her Instagram page with the caption: “Not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that shows mercy
Dr Susu in the building.

 Celebrating the Nigerian star on her latest achievement, her alma-mater, the University of Wolverhampton made a post on their Instagram handle with the caption: “

I would say dream big. Be more afraid not to try, than be afraid of the fear of failure.

The ceremony was attended by her husband, singer, Banky W. with their son, her mum, her friend and colleague Jemima Osunde, among others.

Adesua has acted in various Nollywood movies which has fetched her several awards as well as recognition in the movie industry. She joins the list of Nigerian celebrities who have bagged doctorate degrees over the last few years.
