Afrobeat sensation, Rema, has taken to his social media platform X, with a fiery tirade aimed squarely at his record label, Mavin Records. Accusing them of orchestrating “fake” PR tactics on Saturday, 27th April 2024.

The controversy erupted when Mavin Records, via a tweet, on its official X handle, announced Rema’s involvement in an upcoming project, ‘X’.

However, instead of expressing gratitude or excitement, Rema retweeted the post with a tone of disbelief, seemingly caught off guard by the revelation. His response was laced with incredulity as he queried, “SMH, tf is this?”

Venting his frustration further, Rema directed his ire towards Mavin Records on his own page, lambasting them for what he perceives as a lack of originality and creativity.

He adamantly called out the label for allegedly exploiting him in a bid to bolster their own influence through what he deemed as counterfeit PR tactics.
