Onana replaces the former goalkeeper, David de Gea, who announced his departure from Man U after 12 years at the club early this month.

The goalkeeper became the club’s second summer signing, following the arrival of striker, Mason Mount for an initial £55m earlier in the month.

The Cameroonian born goalkeeper, has kept 104 clean sheets in 255 club appearances.

He won three league titles and two KNVB Cups with Ajax before joining Inter Milan in 2022.

Onana only spent one season at Inter Milan where he won the Italian Cup and Super Cup.

He also helped the club reach the Champions League final and recorded the most clean sheets.

The 27 year old goalkeeper was sent home from last year’s World Cup after a dispute with coach, Rigobert Song. After which he terminated playing for his national team.
