Popular American actor and TV personality, Jamie Foxx, has addressed his health issue, months after experiencing a medical complication.
The actor took to his Instagram handle for the first time on Saturday, 22nd July, 2023, to share a video of his experience after hospitalisation, saying the health scare took him to hell and back.
According to him, the illness was something he never expected to go through, Foxx also explained that he chose not to disclose details of the illness because he did not want fans to see him go through the difficult moments.
I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that, man. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show.Jamie Foxx – American actor and TV personality
He also credited his family for respecting his wishes and also supporting him during his recovery.
“My sister Deidra Dixon, my daughter Corinne Marie, saved my life. To them, to God, to a lot of great medical people, I’m able to leave you this video. I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way, and y’all know they kept it airtight, they didn’t let nothing out, they protected me, and that’s what I hope that everyone could have in moments like these,” he continued.Jamie Foxx – American actor and TV personality
He further debunked some rumours about his health, stating that he neither went blind nor was he paralysed, but he said he went through “hell and back” during his recovery.
The actor was sighted in public for the first time after his recovery earlier in July as he heartily waved at fans during a boat ride in Chicago.
He was rushed to the hospital in April, while on the set of “Back in Action,” in Atlanta.
Jamie’s family and friends kept the details of his illness a secret and this led to several speculations about his health.
