Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie via his Instagram page, on Thursday, July 23, 2023, criticized Nigerians for displaying affection toward celebrities solely after their demise.

Yul criticism was in response to reports indicating that Rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji known as Oladips, previously declared dead by his management, is indeed alive.

He pondered why there’s a lack of promotion for Oladips’ work or sharing of his content now that his well-being has been confirmed.

According to Yul, the musician isn’t receiving the same attention because he’s alive.

He emphasized that if Oladips had actually passed away, he would have been consistently trending on numerous social media platforms, with people actively sharing his music and images.

The actor urged Nigerians to prioritize support for individuals while they are alive instead of perpetuating negative sentiments like hate, jealousy, and envy.
