President Bola Tinubu is set to administer the swearing-in of three additional ministers in his 48-member cabinet, on Monday, 16th October 2023.

The new ministers to be sworn in are Jamila Bio, Ayodele Olawande, and Balarabe Lawal from Kaduna State.

The ceremony will take place at the State House Council Chamber before the Federal Executive Council meeting, FEC.

This will mark the second FEC meeting since Tinubu assumed the presidency on May 29, following a 48-day gap after the inaugural session on 28 August 2023.

Bio and Olawande are expected to hold positions as the Minister of Youth and the Minister of State for Youth, respectively. Balarabe Lawal will replace the previous nominee, Nasir El-Rufai, who had served as the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government during El-Rufai’s tenure.

The Federal Executive Council, recognized by Article 144 (5) of the 1999 Constitution, serves the purpose of crafting policies, executing government projects, and assisting the President in carrying out executive functions.
