The President of the Students’ Union Government, SUG, in Akwa Ibom State University, Abasifreke Benson, has appointed thirty personal aides to support his administration.
The appointments were contained in statement signed by the SUG President.
According to Benson, the aides were appointed after proper investigation and security checks for the smooth running of his administration as the President of the student union of the university.
The announcement of the 30-man list was met with mixed reactions with many wondering why a SUG president would need so many aides at a time when Nigerian youths are pushing for the cost of governance in the country to be reduced.
