It has been revealed that Mr.Peter Nwachukwu, husband of late gospel music star, Osinachi, has a ‘secret’ wife outside of their turbulent union.
This was revealed by one of the sons of the late gospel singer, who said he found an old photo album hidden in his father’s bedroom.
According to the child, the photo album contained wedding pictures of his father as the groom, and a woman he had never seen before.
The child said their mother had always had suspicions that their father was having a secret affair, but had no concrete evidence.
The kid, narrating how he found out about the photo album, said: “One day, my father was away and forgot to lock up his room, so I entered, and a voice within told me to explore the room. Then, I saw the album and out of curiousity, I opened it and saw daddy’s old photographs. From the photos, I could see that my daddy lived a wayward life.”
“So I closed the album and kept it where daddy hid it. I couldn’t tell mummy or anyone because I was very afraid that daddy will kill me, if he found out that I knew about the photos. Mummy once tried to search for things like this (album) in daddy’s room, but could not find anything”.
With this revelation by the gospel singer’s son, her family has expressed shock upon discovering that Mr. Peter Nwachukwu had been wedded in church to another woman, long before he came for their sister’s hand in marriage ten years ago.
A member of the family said: “We never knew Nwachukwu was previously married to another woman. If ever we knew about it prior to now, we may not have allowed Osinachi to marry him. Osinachi must have been through a lot of pain, which she, unfortunately, kept away from us”.
The 42-year-old gospel musician, Osinachi died on Friday, 8th April, 2022 after spending days at the National Hospital in Abuja.
Colleagues of Osinachi, who was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Headquarters, Abuja, accused her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, of beating her to death.
