Social media critic, Daniel Regha, has stirred controversy after he questioned the credibility of singer, Davido’s announced ₦300 million donation to orphanages across Nigeria via his X handle on Tuesday, 20th February 2024.

Davido recently announced that he would be donating 300m Naira to orphanages in Nigeria as part of his annual contributions.

Regha questioned Davido’s donation of ₦250 million to orphanages in 2023, saying there wasn’t clear information on how the money was disbursed.

Also, Regha mentioned that Davido hasn’t given the ₦20 million he promised for a giveaway some years back, raising doubts about his commitment to helping others.

n his social media post, Regha also alluded to Davido’s involvement in financial disputes, including accusations of seizing funds belonging to individuals such as former Nigerian Football Association, NFA chairman, Amaju Pinnick.

Regha’s critique was greeted by mixed reactions , with many users echoing his concerns about Davido’s donation practices while others dragged him for calling out Davido.

Regha is known for consistently scrutinizing Davido and other celebrities’ charitable contributions. Recently, he also addressed a similar issue involving Nigerian DJ, Florence Otedola popularly know as DJ Cuppy.
