Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has paid tribute to WizKid’s late mum, Jane Balogun, during his performance at the Afronation Fest concert in the United States, on Sunday, 20th August 2023.
Since Wizkid’s mum’s death was announced, celebrities have been sending condolence messages to the singer, Wizkid, and his family.
However, Burna Boy went a step further when he paused his set at the concert to pay tribute to her and asked fans to observe a minute’s silence in her honor.
After the minutes silence was observed, he proceeded to sing a line from his collaborative song with Wizkid, ‘Ginger’.
Wizkid’s mother’s death was announced on Friday, 18th August, 2023.
