Afrobeats singer, Davido has positively responded to the cyclist, Emmiwuks, who has embarked on a journey from Benue to Lagos by bicycle to honour him.
Emmiwuks has been documenting his feat on his the singers Twitter account in the hope of getting the his attention, which he eventually succeeded. His hopes were dashed after the singer told him to turn around because he was not around.
Emmiwuks, who has already spent eight days on his journey, refused to back down. In responding to Davido’s tweet, he said he was not going back till he delivers a gift to the singer, while informing the singer that he was approaching Ogun state.
Davido eventually caved in and asked for his account number, telling him to go back home and continue his journey after his return to Nigeria.
Emmiwuks had announced his intentions to cycle from Benue state to Lagos, in June 2023, to meet the Afrobeats singer and present him with a gift.
The Cyclist started his journey at the beginning of August, while giving updates and progress of his trip each day on his page, which were a backed up with pictures and videos.
