Tobi Amusan, the reigning track and field champion of Nigeria, has earned N55 million as a result of her performance at the Diamond League, in Eugene, Oregon.
In the Diamond League final, which is normally contested in two days, athletes frequently take part in a series of meetings.
At the meetings, the first position earns $10,000, the second place receives $6,000, and the third place receives $3,500.
The winner of the Diamond League final receives $30,000, while the runners-up and third-place finishers each receive $12,000 and $7,000, respectively.
Amusan received $56,000 after competing in the three series meetings, where she placed first twice and second once.
She also won the women’s 100-meter hurdles final three times in a row.
Amusan, 26, came in sixth place at the Budapest final, but prank back in Eugene, winning in a time that set a season best of 12.33 seconds.
The victory marked Amusan’s third straight success in the Diamond League.
