A delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NPIR, led by the president of the institute, Ike Nehaku, paid a courtesy visit to Mohammed Bulama, the Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, on Wednesday, 23rd January 2024, at Radio House Garki, Abuja. The purpose of the visit was to brief the FRCN DG, on upcoming activities and events of the institute and to seek the support and collaboration of FRCN in promoting the programs.

During the visit, the delegation acknowledged Radio Nigeria’s longstanding partnership with the institute and discussed various initiatives aimed at reorienting Nigerians and projecting the country’s image positively, such as ‘Rebirth Nigeria,’ National Reputation as a Core Asset, and ‘Nigerian Public Relations Week.

Expressing gratitude, the President of NIPR thanked FRCN for its crucial support during the 2021 Citizens Summit for National Integration. The highlight of the visit was the presentation of the report of the Citizens Summit for National Intergation to the DG of FRCN.

They highlighted that many of the institute’s current programs stemmed from the report generated by a 43-man team after the summit’s grand finale in 2022.

In response, the DG FRCN thanked the delegation, recognizing them as indispensable assets to the country. He emphasized the timeliness and significance of the institute’s programs, especially considering Nigeria’s current challenges to its reputation.

The DG noted that the institute’s vision and values align with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and FRCN’s commitment to protecting Nigeria’s image.
