Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has officially launched her own network company following the dissolution of a film company that she jointly owned with her ex-husband, JJC Skillz.

She made this announcement via a public statement on her social media page on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

According to her, the new company will offer a wide range of services, including filmmaking, movie production, and PR solutions for films.

Funke emphasized that the company’s mission is to showcase more Nigerian stories and bolster the Naija narrative.

Additionally, she mentioned that her upcoming film is the second project her company will produce, following the release of “Battle of Bukka Street” on Netflix in early 2023.

This development comes approximately 15 months after the dissolution of her previous company, Sceneone Productions Limited, which she co-owned with her ex-husband, Abdulrasheed Bello Popukarky known as JJC Skillz.

Sceneone Productions Limited was registered in the UK on August 16, 2016, just three months after their marriage in London in May 2016.
