British-born Nigerian Boxer, Anthony Joshua, defeated his opponent, Robert Helenius, via knockout in their heavyweight boxing match at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday,12th August 2023.

The former heavyweight champion won the fight in the seventh round after he gave his finish rival, Helenius a brutal punch.

With the victory, Joshua scores his first knockout win since December 2020, when he defeated Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev in a WBA, IBO, IBF, and WBO title defense.

Helenius, who replaced Dylian White, after he was banned for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs, one week before the fight, required oxygen but recovered to congratulate Joshua before leaving the ring unaided.

Joshua has now scored back-to-back wins following his triumph against Jermaine Franklin in April.

The win also makes it his second victory since he lost his heavyweight title belts to Oleksandr Usyk, who defeated him on two occasions.

Usyk defeated Joshua on September 25, 2021,and August 21, 2022.

Joshua extends his record to 26 wins and three defeats, with 23 of his wins coming via knockout.
