In the statement, the Minister urged Christians and all Nigerians to emulate Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and love in dying for the redemption of humanity.

According to him, Easter, beyond religious significance, promotes values of love, forgiveness and compassion which are essential for social cohesion and harmony.

Tunji-Ojo also called on Christians to imbibe these virtues because they have the potential to positively impact Nigeria’s socioeconomic development by fostering unity, reducing conflicts, and encouraging cooperation among Nigerians.

He further urged Nigerians to demonstrate acts of charity and generosity to help improve the material conditions of the less privileged among them.
