The family of the late Nollywood actor, John Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, has announced that his funeral will take place on Friday, 17th May 2024.
Odonwodo, aged 43, tragically lost his life on April 10 along with four others in a boat accident on the River Niger while returning from a film shoot.
The funeral arrangements will commence on April 23 2024 with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State. Additional services include another requiem mass scheduled for May 13 at Christ the King Catholic Parish in G.R.A, Enugu, followed by an evening of tributes and candle lighting at Amadeo Event Center on May 14.
On May 16, a wake will be held at his hometown, Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, in Nsukkaa, Igboetiti LGA of Enugu State, leading to his interment immediately after the burial mass at St. Peter’s Parish in Ukehe on May 17.
A final thanksgiving mass will be held on Sunday, May 19, at St. Peter’s Parish in Ukche Nsukkaa, Igboetiti LGA, Enugu.
