Manchester United midfielder, Carlos Casemiro, on Sunday,10th December, 2023, returned to training after an almost two month absence due to a hamstring in October, 2023.

His return is expected to boost the struggling club’s performance.

The announcement was made known via Manchester United’s official X handle.

Casemiro was spotted playing alone on the grass at Carrington while his teammates took part in a recovery session.

According to report, the midfielder who sustained the injury during a Carabao Cup match against Newcastle United, is gradually progressing in his recovery.

This positive development suggests a potential earlier return than initially predicted.

The Manager Erik Hag had previously indicated a post-Christmas comeback for the player, citing strong injuries.

His recovery is coming at a time when Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen are currently sidelined, Donny van de Beek’s performance is lacking, and Bruno Fernandes is suspended for the Liverpool game.

Casemiro’s return could be significant, providing experience and a winning mentality.

Without him, the midfield choices like Kobbie Mainoo, Sofyan Amrabat, and Scott McTominay seem insufficient for such crucial matches.

United needs Casemiro’s presence, especially after a disappointing performance against Bournemouth – one of the season’s worst.

Here’s hoping for his swift return to the pitch.
