International superstar Wizkid, on Monday, 11th December 2023, revealed that he will be giving away the sum of 100 million Naira to children in need.
Wizkid stated this in his Instagram Story, announcing that he would be starting with children in the Surulere area of Lagos State.
He said that he was making the decision in honor of his mother who passed away on the 18th August, 2023.
“₦100M for the kids for Christmas! God bless us all, starts in Surulere tonight. All in Morayo’s name, the love of my life.”

The singer and his family laid his mother Juliana Morayo Balogun to rest in August, 2023, then celebrated her well-lived life in a well attended elaborate party.
Wizkid choose to kickstart his charity in Surulere is a full-circle moment because he once lived in that local government area during his formative years in Lagos state.
