American singer and songwriter Ne-Yo, has been accused of being a serial cheat by wife, Crystal Renay, shortly after their 2022 vow renewal ceremony.
Crystal Renay made the news public on Saturday, July 30 2022. She accused the 42-year-old “Miss Independent” singer of cheating on her for years, hence, the decision to call it quits.
She posted a lengthy and heartbreaking revelation, pointing an accusing finger at Ne-Yo for infidelity and narrated she had ended their relationship, choosing to focus on her happiness, health, and her children
Crystal claimed she’s no longer faking the funk and wants people to stop sending her videos of her husband allegedly cheating. She titled the note, “8 years.”
Crystal wrote :
“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women (sic) who sell their bodies to him unprotected. Every last one of them. To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement…”

In April, the couple renewed their marital vows in a lavish ceremony held at Resorts World in Las Vegas
Ne-Yo and Crystal first met during a casting call for his music video for his song “Non-Fiction” and had been married since 2016.
A month into being newlyweds, Crystal gave birth to their first son Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. in March 2016. Two years later in June 2018, the couple had their second son, Roman Alexander-Raj Smith.
In February 2020, Ne-Yo announced that he and Crystal had decided to get a divorce, but weeks later they called it off. Ne-Yo claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic helped them reconcile their marriage.
He told Tamron Hall, “I did not want to get divorced. I was really, really broken up about it. It didn’t feel right. It didn’t make any sense to me.”
After reconciling, in June 2021 the couple welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Isabella Rose.
While still in love, the couple decided to renew their vows and in April 2022, they did just that.
They planned a vow-renewing ceremony at the Resorts World rooftop in Las Vegas, Nevada.
