Nigerian Super Falcons player, Asisat Oshoala, etched her name in history by scoring the match-winning goal on her debut for US National Women’s Soccer, NWSL League side, Bay FC, in their inaugural match against Angel FC on Monday,18th March 2024.
Within 17 minutes, Oshoala secured her place in the club’s history books, skillfully turning home a pass from Tess Boade for the only goal of the game.
Speaking after the match, the 29-year-old, who recently joined the American club from Barcelona, expressed her clear mission in the NWSL.

At the age of 29, Oshoala left Barcelona following nearly five years with the club, during which she achieved significant success, winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League twice, the Spanish league, the Copa De la Reina, and the Super Copa Feminina on three occasions.
Despite having only six months remaining on her contract with the Catalan-based club and no talks of renewal, Oshoala decided to sign with the new NWSL side, Bay FC.
