Nollywood actress, Ireti Doyle has confirmed her divorce from veteran actor, Patrick Doyle during and interview program with Chude jideonwo where she said; “We are officially divorced”.
The he actress who made the revelation said she was no longer married to film producer and actor husband Patrick, with whom she shares six children.
The 55-year-old confirmed that she had her first child at the age of 19 and revealed that she had been separated from Doyle for the past five years, claiming that getting into that marriage 29 year ago was a mistake.
Adding that she had no business being married at that time.
“When you’re an adult, it’s not a life and death situation…there are some situations that are way beyond your control,”
“The truth of the matter is that I had no business being married at that time, period! Let’s not talk go to the choice of who I married.” she added.
According to Ireti, there is time for everything, and it takes a certain level of trust to bear intimate details.
Ireti and Patrick Doyle got married in 2004 and are blessed with six kids but lost one to sickle cell.
