Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, secured the top spot on the Billboard Year-End U.S. Afrobeats Artists Chart, as per recently released data on the chart company’s website.

Meanwhile, Rema, the ‘Calm Down’ artist, claimed the second spot, while Tems, Cameroonian sensation Libianca, and Wizkid rounded up the top five.

The rest of the top 10 comprised Ayra Starr, CKay, Asake, Davido, and Oxlade, as unveiled on Billboard’s website.

Additionally, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ remix featuring Selena Gomez clinched the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Year-End U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. Libianca’s ”People’ and Tems’ ‘Free Mind’, followed at the second and third spots respectively.

In another category, Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, along with Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, rounded off the top five.

Remarkably, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ secured the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 2023 Pop Airplay & Rhythmic Airplay year-end chart and secured the No. 6 position on the Hot 100 Year-End 2023 chart.
