Her journey, which began on January 31, 2024, faced hurdles like a 24-hour delay at the Liberian border and being denied entry to Sierra Leone. Originally set to return by March 23, 2024, she’s now aiming for April 7, 2024.

During an interview with Channels Television, Nubi explained her motivation for embarking on the cross-continent drive, she also expressed her goal of inspiring others to explore beyond their comfort zones.

Honestly, I simply wanted to demonstrate that this type of travel was entirely achievable for someone who resembles me and to truly inspire the next generation of adventurers to venture beyond their comfort zones and accomplish remarkable feats. Every time I envision it (driving into Lagos), I feel a surge of excitement because it has been such an incredible journey, revealing different facets to people, and then to arrive at this climax, where I hear it’s like a homecoming with people showing their support.
